#3 Continuous Pickle Line is a Wean United design, commissioned in 1965 and
was converted to Hydrochloric Acid in 1968. This facility processes the majority of the cold roll
and galvanize products sent to our 72” Tandem Cold Mill. The primary objectives for this line is
to remove incoming defects, remove iron oxides (scale), slit (edge trim), customize (coil size),
and to lubricate the strip surfaces with an oil film prior to sending the coils to the cold mills.
This facility consists of three processing sections (Entry Section/Acid Section/ Delivery Section).
